19-20/10 Sports Appreciation Night 2012

Morning run cancelled due to lightning risk alert, but the weather seemed perfectly fine to me, LiLin and Yifang.
The first thing I did when I went to school was going to my class (duh). But yesterday wasn’t any ordinary day. When I entered class at 6.45, there were only Sara and Jiayang. I walked calmly to my desk. Then I lost all my cool. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I yelled and I turned three steps back. Lying on my table, was a dead dragonfly at least 10cm long. It was pure disgusting. I ran to 2B and 1L for help. Minutes later, brave Xin Yi threw the dragonfly away. But still terrified and distressed by it, I camped at 2G until morning assembly.

There’s still homework after exams, and there will be homework during the December holidays too.

School ends at 2, sports appreciation night starts at 5.15. So I slacked at JP. And then went to subway with LiLin and yifang. Sandy joined us minutes later. Btw, Tealicious is having a offer. For every large milk tea you buy, you get a free regular sized drink which you can choose from a list. Only from Mondays to Fridays. While stocks last. Sandy bought a $68 Audio-Technica headphone, I will never spend that much on headphones. She said she didn’t like beats. How odd.

This year’s sports appreciation night was much more interesting than last year. The only down side is, I had to wear a skirt. And I hate wearing skirts. Our guest of honour was an ex-Singaporean shooter who represented Singapore in the 2008 Olympics. We were shown an inspiring video and all of us gaped at the black athlete’s muscles. ” If you want to be successful as much as you want to breathe, then you will be successful. “ Take that home boys and girls, because it will help. The buffet dinner was nothing less than pure awesomeness.

Badminton, like last year, was the first to go up for prize presentation. Last year it was according to class, so I went first. This year was according to name, so I was 9th. Good enough. Qian Yu and Eunice laughed at me wearing a skirt. I know I look retarded thank you.

Saturday:
Training was different today. Very different. We started off with a 2.4km, and then several sets of sprinting with odd starting positions. My 2.4 hasn’t been too bad even though I haven’t ran for so long. 11.49, tying with Sandy. We enjoyed softball’s radio music while warming up. Badminton should also put a radio inside the hall while we train.
We started sprinting, with normal sprinting. Then it got weird. We started with sitting cross legged on the ground, and then getting up and sprint. Reaction lag. Then it grew to lying on the grass with our eyes closed and then getting up. Luckily no one fell asleep while lying down, because everyone died after 2.4km. But tiring trainings are always more effective than those trainings when I go home barely sweating. This is good training.

I started talking to Howen again, after 2 years without seeing each other. I miss him so much heh. And to be honest I don’t even feel right texting him, because we were so used to calling each other previously. Now that’s someone whom I’m more comfortable with calling than texting. That’s a first. I need to meet up with that guy soon, if not I think I’ll burst.

Dinner was a Chinese styled buffet. Who’s gonna grow fat?

One day when the skies is falling I’ll be standing right next to you 💜
