Start Again
There was a time when I lost it all,
Crystal clear eyes saw the fall.
There was a time I couldn’t see,
Thought I was being who I needed to be.
You were an angel from heaven above,
Downcast the light from deep within.
All my darkest pits and sorrows,
You took them and wore my sins.
There was a time I fell hard,
The devil I aimed for missed the catch.
There was a time I was scarred,
Ugliness wrote itself all over me.
You were the peace from deep within,
Whispering to me the calm seas.
Washed up like a beautiful pearl,
You taught me how to start again.

Beauty
Beauty is like language,
Different people different tongues.
Beauty is a perspective,
Different tastes different forms.
Beauty comes in shapes and sizes,
Preferably a combination of it all.
Beauty is a global desire,
Sometimes we lose it all.
Beauty comes in different forms,
Some better and some forgone.
Beauty is a myth untold,
You don’t see it until it unfolds.
Beauty is a complex thing,
Sometimes it is hard to see.
Don’t look too hard –
You might miss what you want to see.
