If you ever lit a wood stove,
You’ll understand the fire spreads;
Slowly then all at once
Turning stone cold into warmth.

If you ever burnt a finger,
You’ll understand the sizzling pain;
Painful and long lasting
Yet fire isn’t even matter.

If you ever tripped over a pebble,
You’ll understand the crumbling of the ground;
Bleeding crimson drops of blood
Yet it was just an insignificant stone.

If I ever fell for you,
I’ll understand the pains I’ll never want to endure;
Ripping my soul into pieces
Yet I still took the plunge.

Sometimes clingy isn’t bad
It makes you believe
Some things are meant to be
Kept.

Usually clingy isn’t encouraged
But it’s the most effective
In the times of desperate
Need.

Commonly clingy is associated with weakness
But come to think of it
Not everyone is just as
Strong.

Now I need your clingy
To cling desperately onto me
Like without it I would
Die.

I am tired.

No, don’t tell me to get a good night’s rest. It’s not going to help. I am going to wake up still firmly stuck in my bubble of sadness and exhaustion.

Don’t try and advise me on how I can get over it – I won’t recover. Don’t try and tell me you’ve been through more, you don’t know half of my story.

Let me rest. Give me a break. From life. You don’t even know me half as well as you think you do. I am not half myself as what I show. Don’t try and tell me, you’ll understand. You don’t. None of you do.

I don’t blame that.

I blame life, for playing a joke on me. On you.

I am tired, of life.

Keep hiding, bolt the doors right shut.

Put up a mask in front of everyone else.

After all, you can’t afford to be yourself.

No, the answer simply is no.
